Okay, it's settled.... Adam and Elayna and I will be flying down to FL on Thursday, June 6th, and Adam and I will be leaving on Monday, June 10th. Elayna's staying there for 6 weeks of ludicrously ritzy summer camp, whose features include:
Air Conditioned Cabins
Gymnasium/Auditorium
Olympic-sized Pool (ages
6-13)
Teaching Pool (ages 3-5)
Six Tennis Courts
Art Room
Computer Room
Cafeteria
Clinic
Five Playing Fields
Two Playgrounds
Video Arcade
Two Game Rooms
Nature Center
Plus, horseback riding.
And luckily, her sensei is originally from FL and knows another sensei in his branch of karate (shuri-ryu) who has a dojo 10 minutes from my parents' house, so she'll have no lapse in her training.
I am, of course, going to miss her insanely. But this allows her to spend time with her grandparents and aunt, who she's very close to, and it solves the summer camp dilemma. There are no regular summer camps in Atlanta. *No* camp exists for more than one week at a time. So it's pay $250 for one week of camp then shuffle her to another expensive weeklong camp, all the while being late to work and leaving early *from* work because they're all 9:00-4:00 or 9:00-2:00. *sigh*
