Movie Night

I'll leave most of the technical details to yendi and dslartoo, who posted reports in their journals. Suffice to say that we had a wonderful time and, as it par for the course at my gatherings, made two brand-new-in-real-life friends - metaphorge and mfree. Oh, and everyone got sneak peaks at Shayara character sketches and the first few pages of Issue 3's script, so if you didn't come last night, you missed out on that as well as good movies, many wonderful conversations, and ice cream. :)

Next Movie Night: I'm thinking either Saturday the 27th or Friday the 2nd.

Elayna's due back two weeks from tomorrow, yay! I can't wait to see her, and I can't wait for everyone else to meet her/see her again.

stronae has been safely escorted to the airport.

It was *so* good to have him here for the weekend... I've often said that he knows me better than anyone else, and it's true... and he calls me on my shit, so he's valuable to have around. :)

I said I wanted him here so I could talk to him, and we did talk... but we also spent a lot of time just cuddling. Because it's not just the talking, it's the silence, the quiet comfort, that's healing.

I think I did make headway in luring him up here, though - he really liked what he saw of Emory, as well as the bunch of people he met at Movie Night. :) And as we Martaed to the airport, cuddling, I said, "I know you have lots of friends in Florida... but do you have anyone to hold?" And he doesn't. And I pointed out that he already has two or three people in Atlanta to hold. :)

So. Very good weekend. And I am now off to bed.
