(Oh, I'll be fine, I just *really* hate South Florida...)

I got the trivia at Caribou right again today. The staff there is apparently impressed by my mad trivia skillz.... I'm often one of the few people who gets the trivia right, and earlier this week, I was the *only* person of the day to get the trivia. They suggested today that I go on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", but honestly, I'd be too slow for the speed rounds; I'm a Zen trivia master, I just let the answer pop up in my mind. I don't *think* about it.

I rock at Trivial Pursuit, too, and I'll be inviting the Atlanta people over to play some when our new 20th Anniversary edition arrives.

So for my page-a-day online calendar, I chose 365 Days of Trivia. I figure I'll post the daily trivia, [livejournal.com profile] mnfiddledragon will post the daily Mensa puzzle, and we'll post post the Women Who Do Too Much thingie, and it'll be like we all have three calendars, yay!

Today's Women thingie: "Unusual times need unusual people. Women like us will fit right in. Not being like everyone else is a blessing."

The trivia today is lame: "What TV show did Britney Spears get her start in?" So I'll give you the Caribou trivia, too: " Who was the screenwriter of Terry Gilliam's Brazil, Rainer Fassbinder's Despair, and John Madden's Shakespeare in Love?" Which, IMO, is only fractionally harder, but hey...

Kushiel's Chosen is now out in paperback - and I don't have time to get it before my plane trip this evening! Want want want.... *stompyfootdance*

Hm. May see if the Emory bookstore has it, at lunch today. Pretty sure the CVS won't; if the first book is any indication, it will be at least slightly porny.

I don't just get songs in my head; I get whole albums. The current album is Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe. So I give you the lyrics to The Meeting... the song I always wanted to play as I walked down the aisle. Alas, with the first wedding, there was no music, and not really an aisle... with the second one, he was a music geek, and he vetoed it in favor of a selection from Empire of the Sun, I think. And I now doubt I'll ever marry again. But if I do... I'm using this music.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Surely I could tell
When I sleep tonight
A dream will call
And raise it's head in majesty
Dividing all my energy
To the meeting of your love
Where from whence it came
Like a singer searching for a song
I try to reach where you belong
As I will be the song for you
I will be your servant child
No, oh no
I cannot be deceived
No, oh no
There's something
That I feel
There's something that I feel inside
Surely I could tell
If you ask me Lord
To board the train
My life my love would be the same
As I could be the one for you
In the meeting of your love
In the meeting of your love
How is it possible that I have more LJ readers, friends-of, than Shannon Wheeler ([livejournal.com profile] tmcm) or Chynna Clugston-Major ([livejournal.com profile] girlmod) or [livejournal.com profile] evandorkin? They are famous people. I'm... just me.
The world feels ever so slightly askew.
... was sitting at my desk eating crackers and having hideous coughing fits....
1. Mouthful of cracker
2. Hideous wracking coughing fit
3. Drink water
Repeat...
Because I'm hypoglycemic, I need to eat. And all I had were the crackers. :(
Sucking on a honey throat lozenge now...
Went to CVS and the Emory Bookstore, and neither store had it, so I shan't have it for the plane ride. :( Want it now dammit.
At least I picked up [livejournal.com profile] glenn5's birthday gift. So the trip wasn't a total loss.
Just under two months until my birthday!
Birthday! Birthday! Birthday!
I wonder if I could pull off doing a fan-clubbish thing, like [livejournal.com profile] vidicon's VidiHarem or [livejournal.com profile] murnkay's Cult of The Blue Monkey. If anyone would be interested. And what we could name it.
Interest? Suggestions?
(Yeah, Monkey, kinda like Phedre's Boys...)
Home - and I packed in less time than it took [livejournal.com profile] yendi to fix me an English muffin!
Peeg and Pengy: I'll meet you outside of Boomers. My plane lands at 9:20 (hypothetically). The airport's not far from Boomers. Shall we plan for 9:45, and I'll call Peeg if I'm going to be late?
Pengy, e-mail me your cell # if you have one?
I am too damn lazy to write out lj tags...
Hey, this is [livejournal.com profile] yendi, just quickly posting on [livejournal.com profile] shadesong's lj to say she just called, and arrived safe and sound in FLA (and that airport security sucks -- they never ever asked for her id).
