Some things you should know about the Atlanta zoo

1. The directions on the website are misleading.

2. So are the signs directing you to parking lots.

3. The McDonalds there charges twice as much for the food as any other McDonalds anywhere.

4. Cell phone reception is iffy at best.

Other than that? We walked a lot, penguinboi and yendi and sibylla and ryokan and Elayna and I. And we had much fun. And sibylla and I have a new name for ourselves, "the Nearly Wild Roses". Pictures and explanations will be forthcoming. And we rode brass cheetahs in a mint field.

It's good to be the 'song.

Being Shadesong is a full-time job.

You know what you get when you have a full-time job?

Vacations.

At the suggestion (rather, near-insistance) of reprobayt, and the encouragement of penguinboi, I'm taking mine.

You could call it the ultimate LJ challenge - I'm committing to stay away from LiveJournal for a full week. That means both posting and my friends list.

No, nothing at all is wrong - this is a scheduled maintenance.
