Good News

Elayna's school has drop-kicked the YMCA's after-school program in favor of having their *own* program. Which will focus on fun educational stuff, rather than on coloring and watching videos.

I have offered to be a parent volunteer one day a week; I could make up the two missing hours at work by skipping two lunches a week.

No, not skipping entirely. Just eating at my desk.

But still - yay! That was a huge part of my school grievance. That she was wasting two hours sitting there like a lump. And now she won't be.

...

I just had a rare speechless moment.

The professor they were looking for wasn't here. I told them that they ought to come back after the fall semester starts.
