Saturday Factoid

The Icelandic Phallogical Museum is likely the world's only museum devoted to the penis - and contains more than 150 specimens, including penises and penis parts from skunks, rams, horses, and a sperm whale, which measures almost six feet long. The museum also has a gift shop where visitrs can buy such items as a jump rope with phallic handles and a wooden hanging light with dried bull and ram scrotums for lampshades.

* I hadn't done the chatting-on-the-phone-for-an-hour-plus-with-a-chick-friend thing since like middle school. Weird. But damn, I needed that. Which is weird for a phone-hater to say.

* I've been in mild to moderate pain from Allergic Reaction Like Whoa for 'bout a week now. Getting worse. It's a delayed hypersensitivity reaction to the adhesive and/or gel on the electrodes for the heart monitor. "Not 'normal', but 'common'," docorion says. I have circular welts where those things have been. You can feel them through my shirt, even. (I imagine I look like an inhabitant of Spatterjay (Neal Asher's The Skinner).) They hurt and sting and ache and they itch like crazy. And I have another week on the monitor. I'm not wearing it today - giving my skin a break.

* I'm going to go have a colloidal oatmeal bath.
