I am looking at cell phones.

Yes. Me. Cell phones. The first thing you hear from me at cons will no longer be "Hi! Can I use your phone?"

Why?

New city. New transit system. Sense of direction that resembled that of Ryoga from Ranma 1/2/Hatsuharu from Fruits Basket before the whole brain damage and heavy medication thing. In short, children, I anticipate getting lost, and feel that having a way to call for directions/help would make sense.

And despite the fact that it would make sense, I'm looking into doing it anyway.

Between this and jumping out of a plane, the list of "things 'song will never ever do, like, seriously" is dwindling.

From Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers (a.k.a. my current favorite book, and a Mother's Day gift from Elayna and Adam):

"If you could at all help it, it was extremely advisable, historically, to avoid being epileptic. Treatments for it have included distilled human skull, dried human heart, bolus of human mummy, boy's urine, excrement of mouse, goose, and horse, warm gladiator blood, arsenic, strychnine, cod liver oil, and borax."
