Thus continues the week of Stuff I Don't Wanna Do That Has to Be Done So I Can Get Back To Writing.

Today I must review that horrible racist manuscript - and yes, I did have to read the whole thing so I could review the whole thing! But I'm going to be asking in my notes for a better screening process next year. This should never have made it through.

Also must get caught up on e-mail, start on the next manuscript, get my ^$&^%*&( massage... the one thing I'm totally looking forward to today is a reading by Anne (and Sam!) Lamott.

As soon as I finish the manuscript reviews, I can get back to writing. I have been forced to essentially take two months off (packing, moving, unpacking, parental visit, reviews), and I Do Not Like That.

Onward! Nose to the grindstone!

I'm going to ConBust at Smith next weekend! Coincidentally, Smith is having a college visit event that weekend, so Elayna's coming too!

So here are some things:

1. We'd love to find crashspace for me + Judah + Elayna Friday and Saturday nights.

2. We'd love it if Elayna could visit Mount Holyoke and Amherst while she's there! (She's going to Hampshire's visitation day in a few weeks.) It looks like she could hit an Amherst tour Sunday at 2, but we'll hit town too late on Friday for her to make the last Mount Holyoke tour of the day. Might any of you awesome Mount Holyoke people be willing to show an awesome geeky seventeen-year-old around your beloved campus? She'd be available late afternoon/early evening on Friday, after 4pm on Saturday, or Sunday morning. I'd be available Friday.

Anyone? :)
