Life with 'song and Elayna

So Elayna is working on her college applications.

I KNOW.

She's finally done with all of her essays and her arts-supplement resume; all she has left is the ten-minute video that gets attached to the arts supplement. We have been working hard. We're a little punchy.

Me: "What are you going to put in your arts supplement video?"

Elayna: "I don't knooooow."

Me: "Figure it out!"

Elayna: "NYAAAARGH." *pulls laptop over her head*

Me: "What are you doing child."

Elayna: "I AM PUTTING MYSELF IN THE VIDEO."

Me: "That is not how science works."

Elayn: "RRRRGH"

ME: "But SCIENCE."

Elayna, deadpan: "Respect my beliefs."

Me: "...'k..."

Elayna: "Rrgh." *pause* "It's not working."

Me: "Because science -"

Elayna: "YOU ARE OPPRESSING ME."
