So I had called the clinic last week to make an appointment for Elayna, as she's been coughing for a while. Like, continuously coughing. All day. And they tell me that they're booked for weeks, but that the nurse reserves appointments for sick kids, and that they'll call me back. Okay.
They never call back.
I call again today. The woman looks up Elayna's name and tells me that the nurse tried calling me, but my cellphone was not in service.
I say, "Umm, I don't have a cell phone. I left my work number!"
She reads it back to me, realizing as she reads it that 727 is specifically an Emory exchange and could therefore not be a cell phone. We both go huh. They'll call back. If I don't hear from them, I'll call them back before I leave. And they now have my home # too (Adam's home with Elayna - spring break).

No one in the world ever gets what they want and that is beautiful
