Saturday day: My writing day. Someone get [livejournal.com profile] yendi out of the house, okay?
Saturday night: Carbon Leaf concert!
Sunday day: Was thinking of seeing "Reign of Fire". Any other Atlanta people want to join us?
Sunday night: Great Big Sea/Seven Nations/Young Dubliners concert!

What are the rest of you doing this weekend?

WENCH! I want to see Reign of Fire, and I'm going to be stuck in a minivan with the kids and my mom! WAAAHHHH!

Um, I'd thought Saturday would be writing time for both of us, since neither of us had the chance yesterday?

Okay. We can try that. I'd just assumed from our conversation this morning that it was mine...

If you'd rather, I can always do Sunday, if you can find someone else for the movie.

I think my whole weekend is going to be me sleeping. Sleeeeeeeeeeeeep. It sounds so nice.

Ecch I'm back to being a work drone... 4 hour shift this afternoon then on call for the weekend. Rapture.
Parents are helping sibling unit move this weekend, so I'll be at their house puppy sitting. Sunday we're trying to make some kind of plan for the three of us to do as a family.
Basically some cocooning and some grieving.

i don't think i really want to see Reign of Fire. because i'll be sad because i'll want the dragons to win.

Ok, Reign of Fire can be in the same summer as Minority Report. It's not in the same league, it doesn't get judged by the same rules.

Got to work. I need to explain why that raving egomaniac Alexander of Macedon stabbed his ex-pal Cleitus the Black with a big spear at a dinner party and then tie the whole thing back to his bad childhood, in suitably academic language.

It's not all bad though, I've finally got the audio book of Susan Cooper's Silver on the Tree, some 9 hours and 27 minutes of enjoyable listening and since I tidied up the house for relatives visiting a couple of weeks ago I don't really have to do too much to get ready for my Mother turning up next week. It's all bonus... ;-)

Man, both of those sound like fun. I so miss being a history geek. Must. Go. To. Grad. School. Before. Brain. Turns. To. Mush. And I love Susan Cooper's books.

I get to go to an 80th birthday party for my late grandmother's best friend. I'll have to get a refresher course from the parents on the way--I can't remember which of Aunt Jane's kids is which, cuz I haven't seen them since I was about 10. Sunday I'm picking up a friend at the airport (coming back from her cousin's wedding). Exciting weekend. :-P

I was so out of it I didn't know CB had gotten back together and recorded a new CD. How is it? They'd better get to Boston or I may die.

The only CD of theirs I've heard is the new one... it rocks very muchly!

I've got all their old stuff, including "Pretty & Twisted," from the time when Concrete Blonde was no more. Love it, love it!

Oh, duh! For some reason I misread and thought you were talking about Carbon Leaf! Yes, I have lots of Concrete Blonde's albums. :)
