I'm such a B5 junkie. "And so it begins..." is always followed in my head by "There is a hole in your mind..."

Um. So. The thing that is beginning is my holiday-shopping season. I am off to go make the index cards that will keep track of gift ideas, purchases, order #s, all the sort of stuff, for everyone I have to buy presents for. And I already have one gift for a lot of people, and I'm completely done shopping for Dad. :)

These are the times in which I hate you.
Sunday, July 14th, 2002 11:52 am (UTC)
Hm. I think I have 2 presents for you thus far. Do you *really* want to tell me you hate me?

Sunday, July 14th, 2002 12:02 pm (UTC)
No. But I do want to direct you to http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/store/shirts_019.html

=)

I just meant I hate you becuase you have shopping done. And you remember who you've shopped for and you're all organized and stuff. And it's freaking July.

I don't want to tell you I hate you. I want to tell you how impressed I am. I always mean to start shopping early, and then before I know it it's mid-December and I have nothing.

I also want to tell you to click this link.

You're on my list, cupcake. :)

"And so it begins..."
"There is a hole in your mind."
"What do you want?"
"No one here is exactly what he appears."
"Nothing's the same anymore."
"Commander Sinclair is being reassigned."
"Why don't you eliminate the entire Narn homeworld while you're at it?"
"I see a great hand reaching out of the stars."
"Who are you?"
"President Clark has signed a decree today, declaring martial law."
"These orders have forced us to declare independance."
"Weapons supplies..."
"Unless your people get off their encounter suited butts and do something."
"You are the one who was."
"If you go to Z'ha'dum you will die."
"Why are you here?"
"Do you have anything worth living for?"
"I think of my beautiful city in flames..."
"Giants in the playground."
"Now get the hell out of our galaxy!"
"We are here to place President Clark under arrest."

*grin*

-Nomad, who semi-regularly plays Marcus at a LARP. ;)

O. Mi. Gawd.

If I didn't already have a soulmate, I would *so* be crushing on you right now. Just so you know.

*blush*
Feel free to crush away... just don't do anything about it. I won't tell.
*grin*

Heh. It's fun to play that character... forces me to be all obnoxiously cheerful, with just a smidge of sarcasm. :)

La la la....

No, I'm just talking about you reciting the whole opener, not *even* you as Marcus.

I do have a massive crush on Marcus, though... he is The Perfect Man. And he is Not Dead. [livejournal.com profile] yendi and [livejournal.com profile] morenasangre laugh at me... every year at MegaCon and DragonCon I moon over Jason Carter but can't screw up the courage to actually speak to him...

Monday, July 15th, 2002 07:14 am (UTC)
Heh. I have a really funny story involving Jason Carter and WildElven. Remind me to tell you sometime. ;)

Tell me now, tell me now! *bounce*
Monday, July 15th, 2002 08:00 am (UTC)
Hrm....

Nah. I think I'll tell you later, when I'm bored at work. Or even later, when I'm bored after class. :)

Heh. "And so, it begins..." is my AOL sign-on sound. :-)

But then, almost all of my sounds are B5.

So you saving your pennies for the season 1 DVD coming out this fall? I've already got all the episodes taped off TV, and I'm so much of a B5 geek that I'm still going to buy all five seasons as they come out...
Sunday, July 14th, 2002 07:08 pm (UTC)
*perk* Season 1 DVD? Oh *hell* yes. How much $$, do you know yet? Not that it matters. Have to get it anyway. Yeee!!!

Sunday, July 14th, 2002 08:51 pm (UTC)
Don't know an exact price, but I seem to recall JMS saying they were going to be around $100 a season.

It's a hefty price tag, especially since most seasonal DVD sets (like Buffy) are about half that. But hell, I'd pay it just for JMS' commentary (I believe he's doing two to four episodes of commentary per season), to say nothing of the other special features.
Monday, July 15th, 2002 04:03 am (UTC)
Yeah. Really awful price tag. :( But we're all going to buy it anyway...

Sunday, July 14th, 2002 08:51 pm (UTC)
And the pilot episode and the movie, "In The Beginning" are out on DVD even now.
Monday, July 15th, 2002 04:03 am (UTC)
Already got 'em. :)

Tuesday, March 15th, 2005 08:38 pm (UTC)
I got the whole series on VHS before they released on DVD and I can't justify the expense of doing it all again but I wish I could for things like commentary and special features.

My favorite line: "No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There is always a boom tomorrow."
