So. Packed nine boxes. Popped into Jeri's office to ask her a question, and Erin joined us, asking whether the new building got its Certificate of Occupancy on Friday. It had. So Erin and I *begged* to go over to the new building and look around, and Jeri finally caved, so we went over.
Oh. My. Gods. It's gorgeous. The whole building is beautiful. Everything is so shiny and new and lovely! We ooohed, we ahhed, we found our way up to the 4th floor and checked out our offices...
You guys, I have the Best. Office. Ever. It is a *dream* office. The walls in my area are eggshell with burgundy accents, the carpet is tan swirled with cream. I have an outer reception area, and the computer is going in a logical place, so I'll be facing people who walk in instead of catching them out of the corner of my eye like I do now. An L-shaped area. All cherrywood-esque. (Probably just paneled, but hey.) A sofa - I get a sofa! - facing the other side of the L. Built-in bookcases. And then there's a passthrough to a more private area, with a massive desk and built-in storage space, also all cherrywood. And a nifty blue-and-green spaceagey desk lamp. And *tons* on wall space. And lovely fabric-grained bulletin-boardy area between the desk and the above-desk storage. Just gorgeous.
The whole building is just lush. Posh. Fabulous. I was in raptures over the workroom, the storage rooms. We need to get plants, trees, for all these open areas with all of the natural light. I may put a ficus next to my sofa.
I am *so* excited over this move.
