Today's SARK calendar page: "Scoop up life!", with a picture of an ice-cream cone. I believe the message here is "eat more ice cream". So when shall we meet at Bruster's?

So my friend Newt from Utah hooked me up with a message board where a lot of people from Back in the Day post... I lurked for a few days and then started posting little bits, figuring no one would remember me anyway.

Side note: I never think that I'm particularly memorable. Yes, in my own mind I'm All That and a Bag of Chips, but seriously - I never expect to be remembered. Or remembered fondly, if remembered. I never really know how I come across in person, and I worry that I come across in a negative way. So yeah. I figured that, having not seen any of these people in 10 years, I would not be remembered, or I'd be remembered in the run-screaming way. :)

Happily, I am remembered in a non-screaming way by at least three people besides Newt. And I'm catching up with people's lives and stuff, and it feels good. Yes, it's 10 years, but these were nifty people... and, as many of you know, no door to my past is ever really closed. Even when maybe it should be, which is fortunately not the case here. :)

i'm so glad you were able to find Newt and your old friends again! ::hugs:: it's wonderful to catch up with people you were close to and see where their lives have taken them...

besides, Pralines & Cream is pretty damned good. i mean, it's not even a twink next to JP Licks of Boston, but hey. *shrug*

I had an old friend from grade/junior high school not only remember me, but made a point when he realised my brother worked for the same company to hunt down my brother to find out how I was doing.

It's been 20-odd years and it was so cool since I also have fond memories of this friend.
