So I'm on the FLYLady mailing list (www.flylady.net), which is a list that's designed to help you keep your house neat and clean and organized. I live with a man and a small child, so I need all the help I can get.

I'm also on a mailing list for submissives.

So this morning I get an e-mail from the latter list basically saying that the person had found this great resource for uncollared subs that need more structure.

Yep. FLYLady.

Sweetie, you have *no* idea...when I started getting into BDSM, I had to think long and hard about it, and my reasons for liking it, and analyze the inside of my head in relation to it, because it's too close to how I spent my 9 years of insanity. There's very little difference in being a submissive Christian wife and a submissive slave, except for the going to church part. :) 'Tis why I already know that I could never do full-time submission. I did it already and it drove me crazy. *giggle*

You know, I hadn't been able to explain it before, but I think that's why I can't stand Flylady's list either. I've tried it. Hate it. Like her site, like her ideas. I've been using the card system on which she originally based her stuff (from the Sidetracked Home Executives) for many, many years - but I can't be on Flylady's list. And it's probably because of the years I spent as a "good girl" submissive Christian wife.

Yeah, I admit that I haven't been doing the stuff on her list much - mostly because it's obviously geared toward stay-at-home moms and housewives. Hello, I'm at work, I can't go spend 15 minutes in my hotspot right now...

I *loved* reading the Sidetracked Home Executives. That system worked for me for a while...would have worked *better* if I'd taken into account my bipolar problem instead of having a husband who thought I was being lazy one week out of the month, since I *obviously* was *capable* of keeping the house clean, since it got sparkling one week a month. :)

I've never seen this Flylady's list, but I know exactly what kind of list it must be. I've been on many over the years.

Hehehehe! I love it when worlds collide, especially BDSM. I've seen attorneys I've worked with, an old letter carrier, people I knew from school, all at various leather events. It's amusing! And the internet just makes it all the more possible.

That is too funny. I always thought of FLYLady as this motovator for housewives that realized they didn't have to do housework, but still felt the need to do something to feel like I'm one up on you in the housewife totem pole... But I can see how it would help subs...hehehe

I dropped it soon after - too much pressure! My house isn't hovel-ish, but it'snot tidy, but what can you do... *shrug*
