Good morning! And welcome to my world, melvh and waterotter!

Today's SARK calendar thingie: "Whatever coaxes us out of hiding, to write, record, and express, is a revolutionary act. It says that we believe our lives count. Our lives do count."

It occurs to me that I have never explained my SARK obsession.

In early 1994, I left my first husband and fly to Las Vegas. Many Adventures happened there, most of which weren't good, and when things got really bad, I retreated to bookstores. Functionally homeless, with not many places to go in the Vegas sun, I spent much time in the Bookstar.

Wandering up and down the aisles, I saw a particularly bright-colored book - SARK, "A Creative Companion". Grabbed it. Read it in one sitting. Grabbed "Inspiration Sandwich", read that one too. :)

For the rest of my stay in Vegas, whenever things got unbearable, I read those two books. They reminded me that I was a creative person; hell, they probably saved my sanity.

Um, so the plane's gonna spit me out of the gate, and then I have no idea what's going on. I don't even know who's picking me up. :)
