Good morning, all... hello to new friends
nukewolf, who added me randomly, and
wolvy, who added me back after I added her (kept seeing her post in my friends' journals! :) )
Tonight's
yendi's writing night, so I'm hanging out with
mousegrrl. At the mall. We need clothes. And I need to exchange one of my new bras; they gave me a 36D instead of a 34D. Wrong drawer.
So yes. Mall. With a girl. Weird. We were actually discussing this, Mouse and I, this whole girl-thing thing, and we've decided that we can accept doing Girly Things because we're not typical girls.
I am exhausted. Was very tired all night last night, but still didn't get to sleep til after 11. Not enough sleep. So I'm sucking down the caffeine in an attempt to get to feeling capable of going through my day.
Violent Femmes concert tomorrow night! Who's going, and where are we meeting?

I always thought it was weird that people differentiated the "girls night" versus "boys night" stuff until I met people who did it regularly, and then it sort of dawned on me why it happened. See, all along, I was the girl in a group of guys, so a "boys night" would only exclude me, and then later, the girlfriend of one or the other, which is why it dawned on me. But I really think the gender specific nights are to provide a break from couples, a time to relax, vent, sympathize, talk *without* the other half. Because many people do behave differently around their SOs, or the friend does, for any number of reasons.
Umm... sorry, I just sort of went on a tangent there. :)

But then again, I am often accused of being girly... and usually plead guilty.

I have no problems with doing girly stuff. I don't do it as often as some of my friends would like, but it's sufficient for me.
I generally don't have problems doing manly stuff either. I just don't have many chances to do so since others are frequently willing to do those. (<lj user="cindygerb") does many of them.)
