Report from Girly Night at the mall:

[livejournal.com profile] mousegrrl went down a few sizes - yay Mouse!

I went up a size. Bo0 me. :(

I got a pair of jeans and a *bunch* of shirts... the peasant-shirt thing is in full swing, so I tried on lots of those. Ended up getting two stretchy three-quarter-sleeve shirts that have images on the front, but are black on the back and sleeves - one in shades of red/copper with a red lotus and kanji script, one in blue/green/copper with an art nouveau print.... one stretchy meshy three-quarter-sleeve shirt in mostly-blue with a print that looks like a French poster... one short-sleeved shirt in pale green with flutter sleeves, a V-neck, and an Asian floral print... and one three-quarter-sleeve shirt in blues and browns, with a French coffee ad on the front and script all over the arms and back as well.

Not that anyone but me really cares, but hey, I like these shirts. :)

Please look up the words "rubenesque" and "zaftig".
[livejournal.com profile] cindygerb looks really yummy to me and she manifests both of those words.

I don't need to look 'em up, darlin', I know what they are. :) Just keep in mind that I was a size 0 less than a year ago, okay? Big changes from zero to zaftig...

This means that IMO, you're getting healthy. Our society tends to promote unhealthy body images.
from zero to zafting Sounds like a self-improvement course...

Sounds like you all had fun!

Isn't it great to lose weight? I was a size 22 and now I'm down to an 18. In fact, I'm almost down to a 16, so I know how it feels!

Go you! Go us!

Then, of course, there are those of use that only have a vague idea of what you look like from the picture mousegrrl drew...

Some of us are just funny like that.

The shirts are adorable.

And you still have curves that will stop a Mack truck. Come out here to the truck-driver classes and I'll prove it to you.

Yep, it's all about the curves :)

I went looking for new shirts the other day while becky was getting some, and couldn't find a thing. But I'm picky. If you see all linen shirts for guys, tell me where. They had great ones at the store we were at, but only in the women's section, and with just enough girly flair that they wouldn't quite work for me.

Sorry about the size. I know it's a drag.

I'll keep an eye out! :)

I like shirts of that sort with Indian-derived designs on them....
