Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] havelyard; hug him for us, [livejournal.com profile] sibylla!

Hello to new readers [livejournal.com profile] beeferbunni, [livejournal.com profile] solitaryvixen, the well-met-in-person [livejournal.com profile] ewin, and returning reader [livejournal.com profile] tardischan!

It'll get worse before it gets better.
The begins Week Two of the Great Medicinal Migration. My morning dose just went down by 50mg of the old drug and up by 250mg of the new one. I am so excited.

Should be a good day, though.
Lunch with [livejournal.com profile] static_eddie, and a coffee meeting with the faculty advisor and one of the student advisors that I'll be working with for the university's freshman mentoring program. The other student advisor is [livejournal.com profile] demetria23, who talked me into being a staff advisor again. I am so [livejournal.com profile] demetria23's bitch. I don't get to see her today, though; she's still out of state...

I'm not good at this whole "patience" thing.
I was on apple.com yesterday... with the university-employee discount, I can get the 20-gig for like $250. And I can get an Apple instant loan that would have me paying less than $10 a month for 24 months. Though I'd pay it off within six months. I just can't afford to throw down the lump sum at this juncture.

I have to be patient, because I might get it for $WINTERHOLIDAY. Goodness knows I've impressed it upon my parents enough.

But I'm impatient.

Scheduling.
Tuesday/Thursday scheduling is going to be a little difficult now that we're no longer within walking distance of the dojo; must drive her to karate, which means rearranging dinner and stuff, too - and since I need to drive, I lose over an hour of getting-stuff-done-at-home time.

But [livejournal.com profile] yendi had his first driving lesson on Sunday, and with luck, he'll be able to take over in a month or two. Which would solve all sorts of problems. :)

I wish I could make it :(. Push for the Braves-Cubbies game! You should add the other student advisor -- [livejournal.com profile] idolfan71, though she never updates.

Go yendi!! I didn't get my license until I was 28. Yes it is amazing what having a car can do for you.

My Mom was 32 when she got hers. We actually took driving lessons together way back when. I tried to get my license when I was younger, but I am blind in my left eye. During the test, a car ran a red light on my left side. I didn't get hit, but the instuctor said I wasn't paying attention. When I told him I was blind in that eye, he said then maybe you should not drive at all for your saftey & the saftey of others. I really took this advice to heart for a long while, 12 years. Then I realized that some people get their licenses out of cracker jack boxes & I couldn't be that bad :) Plus I got a job tripling my salary that I had to drive to. Money is a good motivator :) It's never too late!!! I wish him luck.
