To person who won't even know it's about them, most likely: Dude. Not all about you. You're not that special. You're not that cute. You're not that important. I do not want to be your girlfriend. Right now, I don't even want to be your friend. Get over it, seriously. Take up pottery or something.

Makes sense. LJ does seem to create a false sense of intimacy. I've only ever met one person through LJ and she now is a good friend.

I've met a few. It's been fun. There are several people who I will meet in person whenever we get the chance, but even though I met them through LJ, I don't count them as LJ-only friends, because we exchange other forms of communication as well.
