So.
What are you wearing?
What are you reading?
I'm wearing my fake-Doc oxfords, black socks, jeans, a Witchy Pirate Princess Shadesong shirt, and my hair down. Yeah. My hair is actually *not* tied back today, I'm just wearing a headband.
I'm reading Pat Cadigan's "Dervish is Digital" at work and Isobelle Carmody's "Obernewtyn" at home.

Reading: Just finished "Miss Wyoming", by Doug Coupland, just starting "Writers on Comics Scriptwriting", edited by Mark Salisbury. (I'll get Neil Gaiman's chapter signed by him this evening; he's doing a signing in town.) Also reading "Bardic Voices: The Lark and the Wren", by Mercedes Lackey, from the Baen Free Library, in fits and starts when I remember to look for it.

Good morning...
Reading: Catching up on the websites (neilgaiman.com, wilwheaton.net, theonion.com, Jake the Rake) while at work, possibly reading more of the Line War (been rereading Rhi's stuff for a week or two). At home: Philip K. Dick, Raymond Feist (Riftwar saga), thinking about rereading books 3 & 4 of Harry Potter. Yesterday, I read a book I've read before instead of preparing for class today or doing anything else constructive. }B-)

I'm reading High Fidelity, very close to the movie. I can see though how the movie changes made sense. London would have been less accessable to american audiences. Ian's (aka Ray) phone call was much better as a visit to the record store. The skaters and their band made the aprty at the end flow better. In the book it's just coming up now and it's more jarring this way. In the movie the progression makes more sense.
Next book, "The Naked God" which I think is approacheing the end of the train wreck that started back with the Reality Dysfunction. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just that I can't look away. It started not so great but I hung in there and it became compelling, after a while. I also have like three D&D books I need to consume.

I've just finished reading Box Office Poison by Alex Robinson but have no new read in prospect until the end of the week apart from Alexander the Great related books for my dissertation section deadline. Unfortunately this does not include The House of Death by Paul Doherty. While it is Alexander-related, it's too much a fictional murder mystery to sneak in under the wire.
On the other hand, Friday is my long-awaited, oft-delayed pilgrimage to Hay-on-Wye, so I should have even more unread books to add to my shelves after that.

Reading: Just started Sir Apropos of Nothing last night (yay, paperback!). Also bought Lisa Goldstein's new novel (grr, hardback sucked me in at B&N. I was only there for 1 magazine and a book for Mom. I'd been so good--hadn't been there in at least a month. Bought 4 magazines, 2 books for me, and Mom's book). Also reading Tim Moore's The Grand Tour, about touring Europe in a rattletrap Rolls Royce while wearing a lilac velvet suit. Oh, and also just got The Bad Girl's Guide to the Party Life.
