I won't participate in anything put on by Palotta team works. They take FAR too much of a cut of all that money you raise. They're putting on a Suicide walk in August and thankfully someone made me aware of the tremendous problems involved.

Really? Details! I thought it would be good since it's for Avon, and they're always doing fundraising for breast cancer....

I thought of you when I saw the suicide walk thing, too.

do a Google search for Palotta, AIDS Walk and San Francisco for more info about that mess.

You would be better off doing something local and donating the $$ directly to a breast cancer charity. Seriously, at least then all of your donation would go to the cause.

Have you heard anything negative about the Susan G. Komen foundation? They do a walk, too...

I guess no news is good news! Unfortunately, their Atlanta walk is in just two weeks - not enough time to raise money and all of that. Maybe next year...
