Well, then I won't say ANYTHING about you going. :) I have been there about three or so times, and was really never that impressed. I guess you have to be a goth to really enjoy it.
But...I have to admit. One (ok two) things I like about it. 1) they serve cider, which most bars in this city don't, and 2) you can get clove cigarettes there (I don't normally smoke, but every once in a very very long time I get a craving for clove cigarettes).
I try not to piss off ANY women. Especially redheads. Shorter is even more dangerous as you have a lower center of gravity and that makes it easier to knock me off balance. (Thank god for souther Chinese martial arts LOW center of gravity.) No worry. Won't be pissing you off anytime soon. =)
Yup, noticed and mental note made. I study people quite a bit. Read and re-read your bio. First instructor made a BIG deal of studying people. It's worked in ways that are amazing. =)
Over tht course of about 13 years, I studied many styles. My first being Chu Fen Do. After that, most were Southern Chinese styles like Hung-Gar and Paq-Gua. The list is long and varied. I taught childrens classes because they were the most fun. It was one job that I TRULY enjoyed. (I taught at three schools. All of them were childrens classes.)
You really aren't missing much. Except sometimes, Jsin (Secret Room – Saturday nights) does something that turns out really well. Like last Halloween (tho that was at the Masquerade – before the stairs collapsed). And the Prick parties. And the Sci-fi party coming up for D*C. ;)
And then there are concerts and stuff. (like Dita). All and all, it isn’t the best venue for a club night – just one huge main room and one or two other smaller ones. The performances are okay. Sometimes they are really good (on weekends), but I have to wonder if I’m partial because I like watching my friends on stage. ;p
I really miss Tracks (in DC) – they used to have a really fun goth/rivet night. And there’s nothing quite like watching totally-decked out goth princes/ses playing beach volleyball. ;)
I haven't tried to drag you anywhere! and neither has Malkav! He is too busy with his mousies and finding new and exciting places to sleep to drag anyone anywhere.
I haven't seen either one. Although I have to admit, in my social crowd, no one was saying "you just have to see forrest gump", and by the time anyone did, I had a different reason to not see it. It took all the good awards away from Pulp Fiction.
" And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. Run Forrest, run, and take your chocolates with you"
I haven't watched Forrest Gump and don't plan to do so. Sam finally played Titanic in front of me and I just couldn't watch it. Too boring for words. I wandered away. So I guess I still haven't seen it.
