...started off with fire and explosions. Go look at
yendi's journal, then come back here.
deza had brought a bag full of manuals, and I seized upon the Big Eyes, Small Mouth one, begging to play a magical girl. Dude. You guys don't know. You can have "seduction" as a skill in BESM. You can opt for "distracted by shiny things" as a character defect. I could make a character that's just like me! So while poor Mike was trying to get things settled, I was going, "Oooh! Shiny!" every time I turned a page in BESM, and I kinda ticked him off. I sowwy, Mike.
After hashing out different setting and campaign ideas, we finally settled on one ripped off from a book
deza read, where the world is now entirely Good, and the last truly Neutral person decides that Evil must be brought back into the world in order to maintain balance, so they recruit, well, us, who're all neutral and have to try to figure out how to be Evil.
So we roll characters. I get the highest stats. *preen*
deza is going to have to explain our stat-rolling method so
arkhamrefugee and John can use it. And I'm going to be a half-elven thief, and
deza's a half-elven blade, and Thomas is a human fighter, and
yendi changed what he was going to be, like, eleventy-seven times, so I don't know what he is now.
And, um, that is pretty much it for now.

Then pick a straight line -- across, down, or diagonal, which has the best set of numbers, and those four numbers are four of your stats.
The remaining two stats are determined the old-fashioned way -- roll three dice.
Re:
I think I like my way better. 4d6, drop the lowest die. Roll six times. If you have one roll that is 16 or better, you have to keep all scores. Arrange to taste.
