What do you want on your tombstone? (No, I'm not talking about pizza.)

On mine: "It seemed like a good idea at the time." Because, however I die, that will probably apply.

I'm not sure, either something trite like "She loved life" or something silly like "So long and thanks for all the fish" or something profound and mysterious like "Here we go again!"

Probably something along the lines of: Beloved Daddy of Elayna, Beloved Father of (insert names of all future children here), Beloved of Shari.

Although, if that didn't fit, I guess I cauld deal with: Only resting; will eat your brains soon.

Some people already know this.

"TEMPUS FUCKIT"

i think mine should say "she was put on this earth to serve as an example to others." i'll leave the "for good or ill' determination to the reader... =)

My favorite quote: So what does this do?

Don't want a tombstone. Scatter my ashes somewhere where they'll fertilize things.

Something like, "Oh Shit!" will probably be appropriate.

I'd prefer ashes scattered and no marker left. Though if people do put one up, hell, something tongue in cheek like "I'm not telling!" or nice and trite like "I lived it to the last second full and fine; no regrets here! Now go live yours!"

honestly, I don't put much thought to my death; it'll come when it does. I spend my time living life. Funerals and monuments are for the living to cope with death; they can do what they want with my body. I won't need it any more.

Not really answering the question (and if you get tired of comments on thigs from like, a year ago, let me know and I'll stop), but my best friend and I decided at one point that we'd write a trilogy: "It Was Late and I Was Tired", "It Seemed like a Good Idea at the Time", and "Because I Felt like It." It seemed to us that you could encompass a lot of human behaviour with those three statements.

It later grew to a Douglas Adams style trilogy, with 5 books, but I can't remember the other 2 titles. I think one was "Indeed." and one was another sort of all purpose response phrase, but I've no idea what.

A quote from Sondheim's show Follies:

"Life was fun but oh, so intense. Everything was possible, and nothing made sense."
