Movie Night Report

So. We did not really have many movies, for it being a movie night and all. :) Attendees: mousegrrl, deza, mfree, rloveking, voltbang, Baby Maddie!, jet_li_wannabe, and aggression, in that order, I *think*. Let me know if I left anything out; I'm writing this pre-caffeine.

Being as Elayna was awake, as we started at around 5, we watched "Secret of NIMH". Most of it, anyway, as rloveking, voltbang, and Maddie arrived partway through, and Elayna turned it off because she thought the rats might scare Maddie. Maddie's even more adorable in person than she is in voltbang's usericon; she's just so sweet and precious, and that laugh... *sigh* Want another baby, like, right now.

So we spent much time just playing with Maddie, and then rolling/throwing a ball around. This is more fun than it seems, as the object of the game soom became to get the ball into deza's cleavage. Mmmm... cleavage. *homersimpsondrool*

So. We hung out, we talked, yendi and jet_li_wannabe picked up Chili's and we ate; people gradually left for various reasons, and we ended up watching Empire Records after putting Elayna in bed. Elayna was in a much better mood yesterday than she was at the last Movie Night, by the way; now you guys have seen what she's usually like. Expect she doesn't get *that* wound up and hyper unless jet_li_wannabe is egging her on... *significant look*

But anyway. Was much fun. And next time, I promise we'll watch more movies!

We lucked out and got a happy baby. She has no fear, and a wonderful sense of humor. There was one point in the evening where Elayna was putting a pillow on the AC vent so maddie would crawl over it to see what was in the next room, when Maddie just started giggling. That's Maddie. It's all a big funny adventure for her.

Elayna was a lot more fun this time. It was cool watching her and Maddie bounce off each other. You commented that in a few years Elayna will be babysitting Maddie, and I think you are right. It looked like they both made impressions on each other.

We had sort of a movie night last night. ladysea, mnfiddledragon and I played a bunch of Super Bust-A-Move and then watched Mononoke Hime (Japanese language this time).

Excuse me, but did it occur to you that maybe Elayna makes me hyper? Huh? Besides, she pretty much went to bed on time, no? And, as a bonus, she was practicing burp-singing, which is a very marketable skill. If you want, though, I could dress only in drab colors and speak in monotone whenever we hang out (Elayna and I). :(

PS. She also knows how to "raise the roof". We were so ghetto. :)
