Ye gods, how can it only be Tuesday?

Medical
Exhausted, nauseous. A little spacey.

Writerly
Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be writers... I was up too late last night writing (as evinced by KMFDM banter). Can't bloodywell post it, because it's too advanced in the story, but I know that [livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic will love it even if no one else does, because she loves it when Lara is called "Keeper of Memory", and here Donna gets formally called "Keeper's daughter"...

I like it that, by virtue of the fact that I'm writing so many people, along such a huge timeline, I get to veer into all different styles. I was able to be very modern-terse-aggressive last night, then old-fashioned and effusive, and then full-formal, etc., all totally organic, just by virtue of what was going on.

Y'all may or may not Get this. I hope you do. I would like to make money off of it. And stuff. But either way. I love doing it.

Ah, fuckit, I may post it when I get home anyway. :)

Corsetry
Have not received e-mail back from Brute Force.

If I do not receive word back this week, I'm going to go with Gallery Serpentine or Jurnecka Creations. Because, y'know, I want a corset. ([livejournal.com profile] karlita, I know you love Dark Garden, but I don't have that kind of money!)

The DocOrion Update
He is safe arrived in VA. He bought a new charger for his computer, but I don't know that it worked, since I'm not seeing a post from him (he had yet to try it when I talked to him last night).

Mmmm. That is all for now, I think.

'Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be writers'

Now I have this in my head: 'Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be writer...chipmunks.'

Oh thank god it's not only me!

That's where I know that song from, y'know. That and "The Gambler". And every other country song I know.

That and 'Sweethaven' from Popeye were for some reason on constant morning rotation on the AM radio station my mom listened to when I was in sixth grade. And, oh, crap, another earworm: 'God must have landed here/Why else would he strand us here...' *flails to put on some Dead Kennedys*

I LOVE mine. They definitely get my vote as the back-up plan.
