I was disappointed in Robots.

It could have kicked ass. It was all set up to kick ass. It really was. And then it just ... coasted. It settled for just being entertaining. For "Hey, let's do this - it'll look cool."

The potential was there. And then they just kind of set the potential down and wandered off.

I am frequently disappointed in robots. Mine seem incapable of drawing me a proper bath.

i know what you mean. It was hysterical, but the end just seemed kind of...abrupt to me.

i don't know, it was kind of a nice way to not make my brain work

Yeah. It was fun. But it could have been more.

I'm guessing that The Incredibles (which I still haven't seen... don't hit!) has set the bar pretty high for CGI cartoons.

Yeah, it was entertaining. They seem to be content with using it as a vehicle for one liners, site gags, in jokes and references. The plot was generic, well done generic but generic. We got there a bit late and missed the Star Wars trailer, humph.

As a departed friend of mine once said, "The Power Rangers had potential and look what happened to them."

Technically it was pretty to watch but there was no real story or drama. The sad thing is it will get nominated for an Oscar because there are so few animated movies out there.
