Me: *does arcane things with xemacs and LaTeX* *notices the phrase "Costa Rican Snacks will be served"* "What exactly are 'Costa Rican snacks'?"
Professor: "I'll show you some on Monday. Unfortunately, the more exciting possibilities can't be brought back to the US due to USDA import restrictions."
Me: "Should I be afraid?"

The seminar was in the afternoon, so I didn't get to experience the Costa Rican snacks firsthand. But he did not forget me.
