Still no birthdays.

Hello to new readers [livejournal.com profile] norilana and [livejournal.com profile] snesgirl!

Medical
Thursday is hell day. Today is starting out with the usual moderate-to-severe nausea and exhaustion. Belly pain.

New side effect! That "tingling in extremities" they told me about, that we hypothesized might be pins and needles? It's not. It feels like I'm running electrical current through my fingers, and it is really. fucking. disconcerting. It's not all the way to distressing. It's just disconcerting. But it is pretty disconcerting.

Also just brain a little weird. Going to try to tough this out til noon, as I need to get paid. After noon, I can go home and snuggle with [livejournal.com profile] docorion and watch Josie and the Pussycats.

EDIT: My eyes hurt. I'm supposed to tell her if my eyes hurt. Got actual person on phone. Actual person interrupted me to tell me that she does remember how to spell my name. Okay then.

Fuck.

Stuff I Wrote
New article up at TwoHeadedCat! Also cool stuff by the usual suspects, [livejournal.com profile] murnkay and [livejournal.com profile] mightywombat, [livejournal.com profile] shawnj and [livejournal.com profile] beldar and [livejournal.com profile] silversmoke - Cat, you're on hiatus, right?)

Stuff I Didn't Write
Oooh, shiny... Neil Gaiman has posted an excerpt of his upcoming novel Anansi Boys on his site. Go read!

Right, then.

Went home, napped, went out for lunch, went to hotel to play, got kid, just got home, no voicemail - so. No callback, or call-but-no-message.

Heh. Yeah. For me it sometimes feels like I have bugs crawling on my skin, but it more often feels like my skin itself is moving. Honestly, you just get used to it, and it fades into a background sensation.

You're too good! And i've only just discovered your journal. me. bad.

I'm loving the prompts.

The tingly sensation sounds very disconcerting, similar to feelings which RSI patientes get in joints ( also arthritus suffers sometimes get). Themost infuruateing question that medical 'professionals' ask is "what kind of tingly?". Well Duh! If you could accruately describe a sensation so that the description were universal, you'd be rich!

When I was having tests done for tendinitus, I told them it felt like a large bee was trapped inside my elbow. I was told this was bad > well duh!<

I hope you get that side effect sorted soon, cause it's the kind of mental background noise which makes it difficult to concentrate on anything.

Opps there I go rambling again.....

I get asked to describe my seizures, or some of my side effects, and sometimes I just sit there and blink at people... regarding the seizures themselves, I did the best I could here (http://www.twoheadedcat.com/content/article.php?articleID=1141). But some of this stuff really is fairly difficult to describe, yeah.

The tingly is just terribly peculiar.
