And UPS is pissing me off. They bring us packages for *every department in the building*. Why? Because we are the math department, and the building is called the Math & Science Center. So he lugs all these boxes up here and expects me to sign for them.
Me: "That's not ours."
Him: "Yeah it is. Says Math."
Me: "Says Math and Science Center - the building name - right under where is says 'Physics Department, Suite #W101. This is the Math Department, fourth floor."
Three times I had to go through that exact speech this morning. Except one of the packages was for Environmental Studies (fifth floor). All of these were clearly marked with suite numbers, none of which were on the fourth floor.
Now, I was used to this in the old building, as we were on the first floor. So we were the first office as you walk in. But in this building... there are entrances on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors, but none on ours. And the loading dock is on the 1st floor. So this guy enters on the 1st floor and walks right by the place that two of the packages are addressed to to ride the elevator up to the 4th floor, to attempt to deliver them to the completely wrong place!
Yeesh.
I promise I'll rant less after today. Really.
