Should I wear my Jedi uniform to Episode III?
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:14 am (UTC)
Why wouldn't you?

I'd go Sith if I were you.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:17 am (UTC)
Confuse them all. Wear your Jedi uniform, but have a towel over your shoulder.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:18 am (UTC)
Well, not that anyone asked me, but I'd urge you not to attend Episode III in the first place.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:20 am (UTC)
I have to. I am a completist. (Also? A masochist.)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:23 am (UTC)
I was going to tell her the same thing. I know that this one has gotten decent reviews, but after the last few years, Lucas hasn't done on thing that makes me want to give him more money. I'm planning on celebrating the release by buying a bootleg of the original cuts of the original three films.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:26 am (UTC)
Um, sweetie? We already have those. [livejournal.com profile] volta made 'em for us.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:27 am (UTC)
Do they work? And are they from the Laserdiscs? And do we know where they are?
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:37 am (UTC)
Dunno, they're from Bittorrent as far as I know, and - um - they're in the DVD rack under "S", silly.

I can be very unforgiving when a director lets me down. I was so disappointed in the second Matrix movie that I never bothered with the third. I'm pursuing the same policy re: Ep. III.

In related news, I'm thinking seriously about CafePress-ing a batch of "Mal Shot First!" t-shirts.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:46 am (UTC)
I also haven't seen the third Matrix movie, for the exact same reason (although I keep vaguely meaning to Tivo it if it's on HBO).

Love the shirt idea.

Revolutions managed to ruin the entire set of movies for me. Avoid. ;)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:54 am (UTC)
Like, uh, the original original? Before the fancy add-ins and cg-fixes and remastering and stuff?

...because if you already have them, you could always celebrate by sending a copy of them my way. :D I have them on VHS, but the tapes won't last forever and I don't have the technology to burn onto DVDs yet.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:57 am (UTC)
Of course I mean the original original! :-)

'song claims we have 'em, and I'll check tonight. But if we don't, see this post for info on how I was planning on getting them.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:20 am (UTC)
There is nothing preventing you.

Wear it! :)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:21 am (UTC)
Well, duh! :)
also geeky
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:23 am (UTC)
Sure, why not?
It'll be a geekfest anyway, wearing the Geek Tribal Markings isn't a big deal.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:31 am (UTC)
I think you should. I mean, after all, aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:40 am (UTC)
(I always post these things wondering, "Why am I the first one to have thought of it??") *giggle*
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:38 am (UTC)
First, though, you should hang out at Elayna's school, touch all the desks, and rub your face till you come down with a nice case of conjunctivitis.

Then you'll be a Jedi with redeye.

*hides*
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:52 am (UTC)
If she works on her aim, she'll be a dead-eye Jedi with redeye.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:43 am (UTC)
Note how the pun-phobic 'song is coolly disregarding this thread. :)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:49 am (UTC)
Which is too bad, because I was waiting for the opportunity to point out that if a bullet lodged in her non-conjuntive eye, she'd be a lead-eye dead-eye Jedi with redeye.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:48 am (UTC)
Of course! If you're going to go, go all out. :)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 06:49 am (UTC)
Not only yes, but Hell Yes!

I mean, it's the last time you'll get chance to do so at the premier of a new star wars film.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:03 am (UTC)
Hell yeah...and get pics..jedi song sounds kick ass cool.

"Honey, where's my Jedi suit?"

"Why do you need to know?"
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:24 am (UTC)
That's one of Elayna's favorite bits...

What, she doesn't prefer Mr. Skipperdoo? I thought the cute animal was supposed to be the big draw for kids.... :-)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 08:39 am (UTC)
At least for this morning so far, you win at teh Internets.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 07:55 am (UTC)
Absolutely. And when you get to the ticket counter and they tell you the cost of the tickets, just wave your hand in front of them and say, "You don't need my money. You will let us in for free..."
Monday, May 16th, 2005 09:11 pm (UTC)
And if the ticket seller replies with "These are not the tickets you're looking for . . ." she's screwed.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 08:10 am (UTC)
Of course; where else would you wear it?
Monday, May 16th, 2005 08:27 am (UTC)
umm... duh. :)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 08:32 am (UTC)
Yes! You should!

Monday, May 16th, 2005 08:37 am (UTC)
Yes.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 10:05 am (UTC)
While I'm not planning on doing so opening night, I certainly would go. (Granted, I would use Sith colors, but that's for reasons which have nothing to do with the films.)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 10:06 am (UTC)
Erm, go in Jedi costume, Sith Knight variant. Damned multi-tasking brain.
Monday, May 16th, 2005 04:46 pm (UTC)
No, wear it to episode II. It's a much cooler movie. =;o}
