As of yesterday, I have a skincare regimen. Um, cleanser and toner and stuff. I made the clerk at Origins write everything down in order so I remember what I'm supposed to do.

Because I'm old. And the Trileptal dehydrates me like crazycakes. So now? Moisturizer. Fancy moisturizer, at [livejournal.com profile] docorion's insistence.

And a luscious lacey corset-lookin' camisole and skirt at Anthropologie - I just looked online, but they don't seem to have 'em online. Ah well. You shall just have to see them in person, should you ever see me in person.

And [livejournal.com profile] docorion has discovered the pain that is shopping with me - namely, the fact that no one makes things in my size. Most of the size 0s were too loose around the waist. :(

EDIT: If I have to be girly, I want Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab stuff.

I recommend buying some of [livejournal.com profile] melanie's handmade soaps. Tons of people (including, most recently, [livejournal.com profile] mactavish) absolutely swear by the Angry Skin Soap for dry skin; I use it for shaving my legs, and don't have to moisturize after, which is pretty impressive.

Citrus = eeeeeeevil, though. :(

Ah! Okay. I hit this:

"He also has a clear preference for citrus-y fragrances, especially orange and lemon"

and stopped dead...

It doesn't smell strongly citrusy--or strongly anythingy--to me at all. I think you're probably safe. I suppose I could shave a curl off of ours and send it to you or something. *)

There's another soap on the site that apparently does the same thing for your skin but isn't citrusy. Mind you, I've never used her soap (although I may have to try the honey amber), but it does look like you can get the benefits from the soap without smelling like an orange grove.

I concur. Her soaps are the only thing I will use on my skin nowadays... there are so many different formulations, but every single one of them that I've tried has left my skin in better shape than I've found it. *nods* And no allergic reactions whatsoever, despite having sensitive skin.

I've even been passing out little sample bars to friends here and there along with flyers for her website!

heh, I too started myself a skincare regimen this weekend... I couldn't afford all the stuff I needed (or thought I needed), but my dry skin is making me crazy. I'm not old, but damn, my skin looks it. I really wanted to get some nighttime revitalizing creamstuff... but that was like 20 bucks for a wee container.

toner.. I needta get toner :\

the fancy moisturizer I got smells so good.. I was giggling at myself on Saturday saying "I keep getting wiffs of my face, and it smells SO good!"

bpal.org ... it's the forum. If you register, you can get to the swap/sales forum and get instant gratification on sample vials of many many things.

Was there any particular catalog scents you were wanting to try out? Some of mine may be willing to take a field trip and visit you. There are a few BPAL scents that I am madly in lust with and some that I plan to have very passionate romances with ... and we can take this to email, if you like. :)

Shiny!

I have no idea what I want to try. Everything? *laugh* The site is so overwhelming!

I sent you email to the livejournal email ... if there's another I should have used, nudge me and I'll resend. :)

I couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that he wants you well lubed.
Monday, May 23rd, 2005 08:48 am (UTC)
Dude, I need no lube. I make my own. :)
Monday, May 16th, 2005 09:25 am (UTC)
Wait... you're THAT skinny? Wow.
Friday, May 20th, 2005 06:31 am (UTC)
Heh. Yes. Yes, I am. It borders on the ludicrous.

Can I donate 20lbs please?
Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 06:57 am (UTC)
I wish!

I can't imagine you being terribly overweight, though. You look so pretty in your icon; your face looks too thin for it...
Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 07:41 am (UTC)
Awww, thank you. We are the same height, though, and I weigh around 135. I'd realllllly like to shake a good 15-20lbs off. I've lost a lot of weight over the past few years but it gets harder the smaller you get.
Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 07:50 am (UTC)
*nod* I weighed 135 before the anti-seizure meds.
Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 08:34 am (UTC)
I remember and I also remember that you, too, felt the need to lose a few pounds. Not with anti-seizure meds, though, I'm sure! :-)
