So.

The day started out chaotic and didn't ease up until right about now. Awoke and showered at 6:15 or so... yendi took Elayna to the bus stop, and edie22, adellyna, and darkmattr arrived. Shortly after *that*, yendi and Elayna came back in - the bus never showed up! So we drove her to school, gave the principal the Girl Scout packets, got out. Came back home. Went out for breakfast/ATM/snack-buying with the aforementioned three as well as stronae and gwynraven, who were already here. And we proved that we all have Porn Brain, as adellyna calls it. :)

Finally got to the Con around 10 (yes, for us, that is a "finally") and got our badges. Due to a system hiccup, yendi's name was listed as "GAMING". Which he flipped out about. I settled him down and we got caffeine and examined the schedule until around noon...

At noon, we went down to the art show area. Met mousegrrl there (the shirts look *great*!). And we commandeered a tablish-type thing. Over the next hour, we got to hang out with morenasangre and Bret, ariadnesthread, podling, tanaise, astrophysicat, and two_star. Very much fun. And Ken was presented with The Coolest Birthday Gift Ever by Mouse - a t-shirt with the likeness of our character Ryan ni'Lhri'nahr, who's based on him. :) Oh, and on one of my walk-throughs to attempt to spot LJ friends, I was approached for directions to registration - by Armin Shimerman!

The Con opened for business at 1, and we wandered the exhibitor's hall and dealer's room until 3. The dealer's room was just as cramped as last year - they *really* need to fix that! Along the way, we picked up auryn29a, catalyxt, and chrisv. I joked that I want stickers that say "shadesong has a posse", like the Wil Wheaton and Andre the Giant ones...

Bought lots of stuff. Too much stuff. :) Bracelets for me and Elayna, many books, dice for me and for Elayna, and the eight-disc Studio Ghibli box set! Shiiiny. :)

We rested a little bit after the dealer's room, did a quick run-through of the art show, and headed out to pick Elayna up from school. And no we are home. *bow*

Tonight, our big dinner/game night thingie...

Last night the kids and I were watching a National Geographic special that was talking about what makes up atoms. My brother and I both said "Ferengis!" at the same time.
