I now have Miss Chatelaine playing in my head (will now have to cue it up on the iPod to listen to it so it won't be stuck in my head). :)
Now I nap.
A nap sounds so good right now. Enjoy!

I think "Unknown LJ tag" is very appropriate in this context...

I *still* think it was amusing the other way. Yes, we all know what is happening. But I do like whimsy...

n.
1. The mistress of a castle.
also
The mistress of a large, fashionable household.
2. A clasp or chain worn at the waist for holding keys, a purse, or a watch.
I'm assuming you mean this first, and not the second?

Is there something wrong with the idea of wearing her at the waist?

Actually, I think the idea is quite charming. It generates a very cute mental image of docorion wearing 'song about his waist ;)

Thank you for the definition. Saved me the trouble of looking it up. *smile*

Given how often I accidentally lock myself out of the house, that will be very useful.

I had the SCA usage of chatelaine blocking out its formal meaning. I had to look it up 'cause the SCA usage didn't quite seem to fit.

It is the name of the officer who's job is to coordinate demos, get newbies settled into the SCA and pointed in the right direction, etc...
It is not a bad fit to the original definition but not exactly it. SCA culture has a lot of its own quirks.
