Administration
Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] bettiegirl, [livejournal.com profile] felisdemens, and [livejournal.com profile] marajs!

Medical
Blech. The usual.

Sessions with River
The one I posted last night is apparently part of a wider viral marketing campaign; three have been released so far, with at least one more coming. Links can be found here. (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] zeyr!)

*fidget* Wanna go home and watch!

Weird
Yesterday was the first day since July that I haven't had anyone in from out of town, I think. Okay, since very early August; my parents came in on August 8. I've overextended the hell out of myself.

So! Two-hour nap yesterday. Heh. And likely the same today.

Work
First day of class is a week from today, is why you are seeing no posts, FYI. Busybusybusy.

Which is not helping the overextendedness. I am borrowing spoons from way in the future. Gleep!

The rest of this week: reg. today, sessions starting at 1 and 5; tomorrow, meetings all afternoon and two appts in the morning. Monday, Tuesday: sessions at 9:30 and 1:30, Wednesday and Thursday, 1 and 5.; next Thursday, Opening Session for Faculty before the reg, and next Friday, Opening Sessions for New Students (all morning affair, similar to an orientation but not). Then, getting the hell out of town for camping weekend.

Tea, lots of tea I should be drinking, and most of it herbal.

Out of curiosity, dose the dept. you work for make a habit of not telling established (but not previously hired) students if/what TA responsibilities they have before sometime on the first day of classes?

The one I'm at apparently has a long-standing tradition of doing exactly that ...

I doooon't know. I only work on the undergrad side of things.

But they don't order desk copies for their TAs until the first week of classes. And then they're annoyed when they don't have them the very next morning.
