Well, I had those same weekend plans cancelled. :-( Current plans: deal with house appraiser tonight, buy goldfish for Elayna tomorrow, and watch lots of Tivo stuff.
today i'm opening a bank account and hopefully getting hired at Mars, then hopefully having gritas with james, recovering, and then eventually i'm getting Matthew time late tonight after Liz is finished with him...
TOMORROWWWWWWWW... i am going to a TANGO party with Miguel, who i am hoping will agree to teach me. TANGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! then i'm going to SR. sunday i'm recovering, and cleaning the disaster area that is my room, once and for all.
My ex-student worker (Zach, not Trey) started the Tango club at Emory, and is involved in some sort of local tango organization that hosts dances and does instruction. Want me to ask him for info?
Today, with the help of DayQuil, I'll drag myself through the rest of this day, then go home and collapse into bed to sleep as long as possible. With any luck, I'll sleep off this virus I've got.
Tomorrow I'll probably hash, since I haven't in a while and since it starts at Grant Park not far from my house.
Sunday morning is the September meeting of my investment club, which I'm hosting this month. Then that afternoon Chuck and I start rehearsing for Spooky, which will be a neat trick since I haven't finished the script or built the puppets yet.
D&D tonight, and then tomorrow evening is my birthday party - the official celebration of my turning 25 on Monday (I was vastly amused by the rest of the office, most of whom though I was 35). I'm looking forward to it - this'll be the first *real* birthday party I've had, I think. For certain definitions of real - I had a 21st, but it didn't work out too well. And then Sunday will be spent recovering, and possibly doing some mapping and writing.
Hey you, Happy Birthday! Thanks for your thoughts on mine. :) Enjoy your party to the fullest!
And I know about people thinking you're older, at least from another perspective - people usually guess Gabriel as five years older than me, rather than five younger.
Not a bloody thing, if I can help it. Maybe take one last walk around Spy Pond for the summer with Rik, or pick another room of the house and remove all traces of our ex-roommate from it. Come to think of it, I should ask verse if they'd like to do something...
me and darkmattr are probably going out with juanarama and susyrama. Apparently I didn't get enough alcohol last weekend. I also plan on sleeping. And then, some more sleeping.
Well, my friends in The Hall Party and I usually have dinner on Friday nights. But no one's suggested plans yet, so it might not happen. Tomorrow I have guitar lessons, and I'm pondering going to see _Signs_ since I haven't seen it yet, but I want to see it with a friend. The last movie I saw was _Reign of Fire_. And Sunday is my weekly World of Darkness session. I have to have the apartment clean by then.
I have my training class for teaching sunday school tommrow most of the day. Other than that, it is a race to keep up with my mother before she drives me insane. I am hoping to get Michelle to babysit for a little bit so that Paul and I can go out (either tonight or tommrow night) and get some dinner or a movie. You guys wanna come along?
Cool! Do you have an IM or email address I could ask your phone number from? :) I unfortunately don't think I have in any useful or findable form any of those three pieces of info from you! I think I lost it. :(
Cool though! Do you guys know what you want to do? Dinner? Movie? Both? Any suggestions for either?
Ah, I forgot that you could do that with the livejournal email. :) I will be sending one soon.
Wow, that sounds like it sucks. I hate being sick too. We had expected that Maddie would not sleep through the night, but she did. So here I am at work well rested. :) And she is even feeling better already too!
So, tonight it's down-home cooking with jenkitty; tomorrow, go pay the gubernor for the right (snort) to drive my car on his roads, followed by at some point seeing riverheart (whether that's Saturday or Sunday is still open to negotiation); Sunday morning is Dim Sum with wolfieboy and too many others to mention, some LJ-enabled, some not... and Sunday night is more quality time wit da Kitty, who herself has a busy schedule. And I might end up sneaking over to Comics Dungeon and grabbing my monthly fix.
Going to a Vampire LARP with jennywrenn and our respective husbands, and Sunday Chris has off, so we will probably cuddle, clean and computer in that order. Hopefully!
Tonight - preparation for LARP tomorrow. Updating character sheets, preparing and assigning NPC sheets and various other administrative tasks that I now do myself since our admin staff quit to be a HST at another LARP. Tomorrow - we LARP. I'm at the game site (and on my feet) from 4 pm till 12 midnight, then at the post game gathering until like 3 am. Sunday - Making candles for my order due at the end of next week. 79 wine-scented gel candles in wine glasses. Also having an hors d'oeuvres get together at mom's house in the evening.
This weekend is supposed to be evilly hot, and my right knee and weird mosquito bite place are bothering me pretty badly still, so I am thinking of avoiding fest. Also, Miss Beana has a fever of 102 today, so she probably shouldn't go there either.
I think I may invite the tattered remnants of my gaming group over just to hang out.
Uh, tonight maybe going to the City for Brazilian food.
Tomorrow: vegging in the morning, or maybe making pickles. Afternoon is my softball playoff tourney. So after (I hope) three games, I should be wiped out. I think drinking heavily is in order. I've a hankering to MST3K LOTR:FOTR, so that's in order.
Sunday: Our CFO is taking the whole Finance dept and their spouses to Great America (our local 6 Flags park). Should be amusing.
I was trying to make a list of time commitments for the next couple of months--I am booked straight through December. Weeeee!
Rest, rest and more rest. :) Even though I'm still pissed at my mother, I took her up on the offer to take the kidlings this weekend. They need to see their grandma and I need a break!
If we had the gear, we'd go camping. As it is, we'll probably do a bit of hiking and walking on the beach, spend the rest of the time at home and kicking back.
That sounds so wonderful. :) Can you tell I'm exhausted?
What I ought to be doing is tidying and cleaning at least the downstairs in preparation for an Australian friend visiting next week. Whether or not I get round to it is quite another thing. Still got some Dr Who audios to listen to as well, which is much more fun. :-)
Tomorrow's my birthday so I have to get very bizzy turning 29. daoistraver claims to be cooking up some plot for festivity. The suspense is killing me. Naturally, the fun begins tonight.
This weekend I just have to be boringly studious to make up for my distraction this last week. But I'll probably sneak in some fun. Thinking of going to a movie with a friend...but need to recharge before I spend time with her.
Oh, and I have to make a movie for class...too bad I don't have time to put together an animated one *sigh*...and do some programming and put together a database project.
Geesh, I'm dull this weekend. But never let it be said that I can't stay occupied...

And I may be helping friends paint their house. What possessed me to offer, I dunno. :)
And laundry...the pile is big enough to intimidate the cats now, I need to handle it.

No clue... I'm on 3 hours sleep and cold medicine, so I'm not in the best state to make plans. :)
