[livejournal.com profile] gothwalk: Not as much as I should, but I'm working on that; I really want to integrate that back into my life.

[livejournal.com profile] tarpo: Hmmm... forest, maybe.

[livejournal.com profile] elorie: I'm not entirely certain, but I'm looking into it!

[livejournal.com profile] rainstorm13: Elayna. :)

[livejournal.com profile] ilexx: In this heat? I wouldn't trust it; but then, I'm paranoid.

[livejournal.com profile] auryn29a Actually, my Barbies - because I used them as "actors" in my stories. :) And I used to play V with my Barbies. Remember that show?

[livejournal.com profile] skylion: I don't know - I never have.

[livejournal.com profile] goddessinga: Because the only thing that makes me attractive is my charisma, which doesn't show on film - pictures show how ugly I really am. I'd rather preserve the illusion!

[livejournal.com profile] d2leddy: 42.

Bzzzpt...that's my answer. You're not allowed to use it! :-)

And I've heard others say quite differently about you, but I know it does no good to tell you otherwise. :-)

Right, others say I'm pretty because of the charisma. :)

Photos are not always an attempt to make the subject look beautiful; they are a chance to capture the spirit of a moment, a gathering of friends, a special time.

Sometimes they don't capture the beauty that the subject feels; just like one's voice on a recording never sounds like one thinks it should sound. Every picture can't be beautiful, but it doesn't have to be--every moment isn't beautiful. Sometimes moments are goofy or silly or ridiculous.

I don't care if I look stupid or ugly or fat in a picture--because I know that a photo doesn't affect the reality. Sometimes I am stupid or fat or ugly--those moments are just as precious as the ones where I look beautiful. If you have embraced all of yourself, a photo cannot reflect anything you don't know already.

Unless it is just vanity, I suppose. And one won't admit to one's self that one is vain (I'm vain, but most of the time I'm too lazy to worry about it).

It isn't vanity, with me... I just hate my appearance. I avoid mirrors; I don't want to look at myself.

But true...

Thanks for giving me a totally different perspective on pictures, one I'd never even thought about.

You're welcome! I love taking pics, and I often have to argue with people yelling "Don't take my pic!" or being bitchy or whatever. I just think people misunderstand the point of a pic--it's not a fashion shoot or glamour shots. It's a frozen moment, trying to capture the spirit.

Besides, I'm always suspicious that hating the way one looks is really hating who one is. I dislike my nose, but I still love me. :)

eek that was a long reply for a joke post heh

I've gotten used to how I look.. I don't care what people think anymore.. I'm me.. take it or leave it..

I kinda prefer that everyone thinks I am a sheepdog.. even if its a terrier in my icon hehe

Sweetheart, I've never met you in person. I have seen a picture. You're pretty. Even in pictures.

Yell if you need help or guidance - you help me with one thing, I'll help you with another, aye?

Yeah, I remember V. I used to draw bloody Vs and that alien nazi-esque symbol on my book covers in 6th grade.

I remember playing with a friend's barbies. Actually, I took my own 12" Superman figure over and we made up our own superheroes. I remember fashioning swords out of paperclips. Brief moments of childhood happiness.

1. I totally had a crush on Kyle from V. And Diana. I was 8. Good times.
2. I used to make my neighbor's Barbies tie up her brother's GI Joe dolls and drag them off and make them beg for mercy.
