Just read the new Fantastic Four #1, by Mark Waid...
He *gets* it.
I've picked up FF occasionally in the past. Nothing from the past 20 years or so has ever caught my fancy. But this...
He gets it. He gets what makes them unique. What they're really about. And I am going to start subsribing to FF just to see where he takes them.
Go get it. Special launch gimmick: it's 9 cents. You have no excuse not to get it. :)

And yes, low point, agreed.
But, and this doesn't balance, it just lets me ignore the Jean Gray ressuretion, I love the Negative Zone stuff.

I started laughing on page 2, but that no way prepared me for the next few pages.
Ah, Franklin is 7 now. That's promising.
ok. Finished the comic. Wow. You were right. This is good stuff. Damn good. It's not enough to make me subscribe again...yet. But I'll check out the next few issues. I'd never seen the angle of exploring Mr. F's angst over what he'd done. But it touched me. I've always been very close to The Thing's torment though.
