I adore my son. I'd like to think that I'd adore him even if he weren't my son, because he's smart and funny and insightful and full questions and has a good heart and is very generous and opinionated and "strong willed".
Lots of people seemed charmed by him as soon as they talk with him. Not everyone of course, but there's no accounting for taste :)
As corny as this will be, I adore Tony. Once we got together, I felt like I truly found my other half, my completion. Besides, he knows all my ugly deep dark secrets and loves me anyway.
My father's third wife. She's the most amazing person I've ever met. Her strength in the face of despair, her ability to make you feel at home, her take no prisoners attitude, and her ability to be honest in a way that doesn't feel like she's putting you down. I love her for her unquestioning support of me during my break up with Joe, and for telling me that I am more then a reflection of what my father wanted me to be. This woman is quite possibly the only person alive who I trust completely.
I adore my neice, Eliana. She's amazing. At 2, her personality rocks, her mannerisms are so cute, she laughs and sings and jumps... She makes me happy when skies are grey.
hmm. I don't know. The answer's either no one, or many people. Basically all of my friends. I suppose there's a complicated adoration tier system.
I guess The Wolf is first on that list. (I've mentioned her a couple of times in my journal. The closest thing I've had to someone I might actually want to marry.) I adore her. She's fae, and hyperintelligent, and cute, and devours my comics whenever I invite her over. Alas, she's been out of my reach for many years. Though recent events are such that...well...it's complicated. Never mind.
My nephew. He is absolutely amazing in every way possible. And he makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside whenever I see him :) Plus, he's so irresistibly mischievously cute-- there is no way I could resist his wiles, even if I wanted to.
My boychild. And my husband, who is now sitting on the couch watching cartoons with the boychild and grumbling over 'continuity issues'. Is that not adorable?
My list (since I'm including the 'why' part) is getting too long for a response. I think it's going to be truncated. So I'm going to write my own journal entry with it. :)
My friend Kathy. She actually is my mom's friend, her kids are only a few years younger than me, and as a kid I played with them and then babysat them as I got older. Now, going through the divorce and getting my life together, she's been a confidant and a lifesaver, since she's gone through more than her share of troubles in her life. She's the most kind-hearted, giving, non-complaining person I've ever met, and I so wish I could be like her.
I adore, of course, Darkside. He's sweet, and he knows how to talk to me. Very few people know just what to say to me at any given moment of the day, in any one of my weird moods. He knows me better than almost anyone else.

I adore <ljuser=slinkstarr>, because she's an angel and makes me feel like one too. And she makes great mix tapes, and writes stories about sexy librarians.
I adore my friend Kay, because she's my oldest friend, and we fight like sisters but we've never stopped speaking to each other. We bring out the best and worst in each other. She's seen me at my worst and still loves me.
I adore <ljuser=tanaise> because she's my big sister. She can tell me when I'm wallowing and get away with telling me to snap out of it. She calls me at random moments to tell me about her obsessions. She keeps me up to date on "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" even though I don't watch it.
I adore Dave, because when asked if I ever annoy him, he replied, "Only when you don't believe in yourself." He reads faster and more than anyone I know, but he never lords it over people. He can fix almost anything. People trust him. I trust him more than any other human being.
As you might guess, it is cindygerb. Without her, I couldn't've grown into the person that I am. As one friend put it, she helps people become more of who they are. Cindy has one of the fiercest personalities that I've ever known. Lastly (but not exhaustively) she is my peer in terms of sheer stubbornness and willpower. She's the irresistable object to my immovable force.
I adore my ex-girlfriend, who also happens to be my best friend/guardian angel. She knows me inside out, better than I know myself, better than even my twin knows me, and there is nothing I can't tell her. A part of my soul belongs to her, and the feeling is mutual.
