The child has finished the backboard for her project.

I now know more about the social behavior of dolphins than I ever cared to know, and Elayna knows more about design than she ever cared to know. As in, "Where do you think that should go?" and "No, you're doing that, not me."

It looks very nice.

I never want to go through this again.

She is going to be doing at least one of these a year for how long?

It gets easier as she gets older. Unless you're my brother and then it just gets later. ;)

Welcome to the wonderful world of kids & projects...
It's part of being parent.

My daughter turns 17 next month and is in colledge, I'm 3000+ miles away on this side of the atlantic. She's still asking for help occasionally. [I love IM].

Have fun.

"It's part of being parent."

Yes, but *which* part, and where does it go, and what colour should I colour it and why won't it stay stuck on Mummy? Mummy? *MUMMMMM-Y-Y-Y-Y*?!?

um, until she's out of school? I remember when my son had a project for a science fair and decided to show a demonstration of detergents affect on biology. The detergent? Dishsoap. The unwilling victims? Snapdragons.

After the experiment was over and the point proven of increased pollution = dying plants my son wanted us to 'rescue' them. We tried, lots and lots of water to flush the soil but sadly 3 died, two were stunted and the control mocked us for our evil actions.

He got an 'A'.

Excellent! Not only demonstrating there's problem, but also that it's not easily fixable. A well deserved 'A' indeed.
