Powder Forces Emory Evacuation

A female employee developed breathing difficulties and skin irritations Monday afternoon after opening a letter that contained a powdery substance at Emory University, a fire lieutenant told 11Alive News.

The Woodruff Health Sciences Center at Emory University has been evacuated as a result, said DeKalb Fire Lt. Eric Jackson.

Hazardous materials teams have responded to the scene to investigate the incident. The Woodruff Health Sciences Center is
located at 1440 Clifton Road in DeKalb County.

My god. You made the big times. That's terrible. Up here, the FBI is still trying to convict a man in the public square, since they don't really know who are sending the anthrax out.

I just saw this on MSNBC and had to run to your LJ to make sure you were ok. I went "Oh my gosh I know people from LJ that work there!" Luckily no one else was in the room, I'm sure I'd have gotten some Looks...*hugs* Stay safe. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to any of my LJ pals.
