I haven't had a normal night's sleep in over a week now.
This is Very Bad.
So I'm operating on a thin layer of exhaustion over a big pool of Total Collapse. And I lack the time to actually rest... tonight's Elayna's school's Open House, I have to find a place for and plan my Girl Scout meeting on Sunday, I have to sit down and balance the checkbook and pay bills and clean the house and do Elayna's Scholastic book club order and start ordering Chanukah gifts and I haven't put away laundry since before DragonCon (it's all clean, it's just piled in the basket). And I don't have the energy for even one of these things. I try to get a few catalogs gone through and out of the way, and I end up taking a two-hour nap. Which screws me up even worse.
*sigh*
And I haven't had a writing night since the week before DragonCon, either, and I desperately need one.
In other news, I won't be on LJ much today because the undergraduate committee *finally* gave me the proposed Spring 2003 schedule. So I have to do three spreadsheets for that and give it to them for approval and then hand-type it on the registrar's forms and send it in. By Friday. Which sounds like plenty of time except for that whole approval process on their part. So today (doing the spreadsheets) and probably Friday (typing the forms) I'll be a bit on the busy side...
Wish me luck in getting some time to rest and recover. *wry smile*

*hugs* and get some rest...

Re: Exhaustion
*hugs* Good luck and try to get some rest. An actual collapse will cause you to miss much more than getting rest now. You might need to offload some of your obligations for this week so that you can continue to fulfill them over the month or two following this week.
Again, good luck.
Re: Exhaustion
Yup. :(
I'm taking it as slow as I can, though...

If the list is too big to do all at once, don't. Take five, figure out what'll wait, and let it. Ask for help. I know, you're a Jewish mom, you're all about doing everything for everybody else. You're also pagan. And "An It Harm None" starts right there (/me taps your third eye gently for emphasis).
*big teddy bear hug* Take care of y'self. Then you can take care of everything else.

Think I need to go sit in the back yard and just *be* for a little while tonight...

I don't know whether you like herbal tea...if you do I've found that Tension Tamer by Celestial Seasonings is a huge help in both the keeping going with soothed nerves department and the falling asleep department.
Sending you thoughts of a sunlit bower and a hammock where all you can hear is the whisper of leaves and the occasional bird chirping...and you feel incredibly safe and secure...and you can take as much time as you need to recharge.
