Medical
Exhaustion + meganausea. Nothing else yet. This is day two of a little self-imposed temporary med reduction that I'll be talking to my doctor about soon.

Work
I would love to come in and not find my desk ransacked and everything out of place, I truly would. This doesn't just happen when I'm out for a day - it happens at least twice a week, since I'm not here afternoons. And then I have to go digging around to find the things that I had placed on top of the stack, the things that I need to jump on. Which takes time away from, y'know, getting them done. I'd be a lot more efficient if people wouldn't mess with my desk and hide my stuff. Just sayin'.

Writing and Art
No actual writing done yesterday, but a lot of organization done on the primer, which really does need a better name than "the primer".

About Rabbit Hole Day: All of you who sent me art rock. Your art rocks. And I look at it and go "Oooh! I could..." But that would be a Project. And I need Rabbit Hole Day to be a tiny throwaway, because I have the primer to work on... and I'm planning to finish Walking on Water as part of [livejournal.com profile] nonficwrimo. I need to not have any more Projects right now.

But dude, I wanna. So. Maaaaybe someday a project wherein you submit a picture and I write flash fiction based on it, or vice versa? I have enough artists on my list that this could end up being fairly big and cool. We could do it web-based or in print - I'd have to check with my graphics chica about costs of full-color printing. I wouldn't be doing that til March at the earliest, though. (March 2 is the scheduled publication date of the primer, so it needs to be done by mid-February, and February is [livejournal.com profile] nonficwrimo.)

Thank you. You make me feel happy in my little heart. ^__^ I'm not as tallented as some of your readers, but that means a lot.

I'm down with that. *grin* I think.. what you need to do first, madam, is to finish what you're working on and REST. And then, when you have some free time later down the line, we can talk about it, start a community or a mailing list or something like thatn and work on a better idea.

Have a good day lovely!

I really liked yours. Particularly the Proximity one - is there a story behind it?
Thursday, January 26th, 2006 04:35 pm (UTC)
Yes, there is a story behind it. :) His name is Di. He comes from a world that I'm still poking and tweaking and creating. Basically, he's a first-level demi diety - (there are four layers 'up' and 'down')that has gotten booted out of the non-mortal realms and is in the human realms.

The particular peice has to do with him getting to know mortals, a couple specifically, a set of a friend and a lover.

He's a pretty. A little tweaked and strange, but a pretty. :)

Re: the molestation of The Things What Are On Your Desk: This may be an obvious, already-asked question, but are there any drawers or other lockable (or at least store-able) places to leave key things so they don't get moved around?

Preach on, sister; that sucks. I've had a MAJOR issue with people touching my work desk, especially since by contractual rules NO ONE CAN TOUCH MY STUFF WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Seriously. I work for a hospital subcontractor; I need my equipment and my space. So no one touches it, except for ONE time, and this is good; otherwise, I'd be even MORE disorganized. ;-)
