Look for the Skinny Cow sandwiches in your frozen foods section. They totally kick ass.

I know for a fact I won't find that in this neighborhood - low income family areas in the US for some reason mean high-fat, high-sugar food. And I can't transport that from Manhattan - an hours commute would ruin any chance of that.

But I'll put the brand on mind - thank you!

There might be a healthfood store near you that carries them. The one thing I've learned about living in New York is you find what you want in the strangest of places.

Trust me - this area doesn't have a health food store. (I live in the Bronx - there may be a healthfood store somewhere around here but not close enough for me to get from there to here easily enough for icecream not to melt :P All of the little shops between the train and my house carry Hagendaz, though, but that is so not lowfat/non-fat!)

:( Sorry to hear it. I live in Harlem so I can feel your pain but luckily for me I can walk over to Fairway or the Columbia area and find them if I want them.
