Z - Zodiac Sign: Pisces

Y - Yesterday's best meal: Ach. Y'know what? I hate food. Hate it. I don't even remember what I ate yesterday. Except Honey Nut Cheerios and coffee. That was breakfast. I'll say that.

X - Xylophone: I had a little xylophone as a kid; it was kept in my late grandma's closet, with a Connect Four game and an Aquaman coloring book.

W - Weather I Love: I like it cool and grey.

V - View from the window: At work: just another building. At home: The view from my bedroom is glorious... the back wall isn't a wall, it's all windows, looking out onto an expanse of lush green. Come over, I'll show you. :)

U - Unique habits: Dude. Too many to list. Hm. I say "fish" when I want to say something but have nothing to say.

T - TV show: My two favorites: Babylon 5 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

S - Sport to watch: Gymnastics and figure skating. Yeah, this is the one area where I'm girly. :)

R - Roots: Don't really know... I have two families, one biological and one adoptive, neither with any real roots. My birth mom and adoptive dad can both trace their families to Russia, and my adoptive mom to Austria-Hungary. My birth father was Irish, my birth mom thinks. Elayna's father is Norwegian. :)

Q - Question I want to ask: Why am I here?

P - Pizza Topping: Black olives, mushroooms, and onions.

O - Outfit I Love: Hm. Just one? Swirly skirt and pirate princess shirt.

N - Name: Shadesong. No, I'm not telling my legal name.

M - Most Valuable Thing You Own: Not sure, really. My car, I guess.

L - Love: I love everyone. I do. There's something to love in everyone, and I make a habit of finding it, it seems. :) A special, fierce love is reserved for Elayna. And [livejournal.com profile] yendi. And [livejournal.com profile] stronae's Up There, too.

K - Kool Aid: Ew. When I lived in the group home in Utah (after the wilderness survival camp), all we drank was Kool-Aid. They had 6 kids, and 6 group-home kids on top of that, so I guess they couldn't afford real beverages.

J - Jealous: I wish I was as happy as Elayna, as beautiful as [livejournal.com profile] bellacrow, as talented as Neil Gaiman (hey, these are wishes, okay?)...

I - Internal conflicts: Y'all know mine already...

H - Happiest Day Of Your Life: The happiest day of my life keeps changing; it always will. :)

G - Greatest Gift(s): Regaining my ability to write.

F - Favorite Food: dark chocolate

E - Excites You: Heh. Yeah. There's a whole 'nother post in this.

D - Dream Date: Date? I think I may remember dates...

C - Choice Of Meat: Ew. None, thanks.

B - Best Quality: Hm. Probably my capacity for love.

A - Age: 28. And a half.

Wow. You're as old as I think I am. I generally pay no attention to ages; I get along with a wide age-range of people, always have. At this point in my life, it's not about age (if it ever was), it's more about compatible stages of life. I got the impression that you were closer to my sister's age than mine (she's 6 yrs older but people think I'm older than she is, sometimes, or that we're only 1 yr apart).

You've lived a lot. I feel I haven't lived as much as you have. However, the more I ponder the last year or eight, the more I realize my life ain't as ordinary or simple as I think it is.

I'll copy this post in a little while... got a few papers to grade.

You thought I was old? *sob*

[livejournal.com profile] glenn5 is old. I'm not old. :)

*raises ear trumpet* Hanh? What's that you say, missy?

Absolutely not! *hug* More that I thought you had more experience points than I. My sister isn't old! And I'm not approaching 30, no matter how many of my stories provoke that response from my over-30 friends.

Old is a state of mind I will never inhabit. Visit, yes: I told kids at synagogue on Monday not to climb all over the bannister because "it's not a jungle gym." I was then told that they don't even call them jungle gyms anymore. *sigh*

They're not jungle gyms anymore!?!? What are they called now?

Geez! You're making me feel old now too, and I'm only 24!

my money's on 'monkey bars', but I'm 26, so what do I know?

I actually think the correct term now is 'play structure'. (Having a child in daycare allows one to learn a whole new lexicon!)

"Experience points". I like that. :)
