I've noticed that you're as big of Songs from the Wood (Jethro Tull) freak as I am. ;-) I bought the record album way back in the 70's when it first came out and wore that out. I was so happy when I found the CD a few years back. Hopefully I won't wear this out- it's getting there...

i've heard that kay's later works, _tigana_ and the whoozit duology, are far better than the fionavar tapestry series. fionavar could be good -- i don't know for 100% certain. i started reading some of the first book, and i recorded the results in this LJ entry (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=pbmath&itemid=95893).

Friday, September 20th, 2002 10:14 am (UTC)
Have to agree with you... unlike you, however, I suffered through the entire first book, hurled it across the room when I'd finished, and vowed to never again read anything by Kay.
