Tired. *whimper*

So. Yesterday. RenFaire with Mike and Malena, wherein Malena got the all-important Elayna seal of approval. Because, y'know, she's got the best people sense of anyone I know. Which is semi-frightening. Elayna was less fussy this time, but we really need to get a babysitter and go to the Faire so we can do grown-up stuff and move at a less glacial pace. I wore my new full garb.... I think my ribs are permanently compressed, but I'm pretty sure I looked good. No, no pictures, although Mike got some of the rocking-horse guy - have you uploaded those yet, yendi ?

I know, this isn't as full a post as last week, but I'm tiiiiired.

Okay. Things accomplished: bought Mom two books ("Shopgirl" by Steve Martin and "The First Counsel" by Brad Meltzer, the latter just so I can trick her into reading something by an adult who loves - and will be writing - comic books) and bought Judy (birthmom) an herb garden, both for Mother's Day. Elayna bought Mom a pretty wavy brass bracelet at the Faire, and made her a candle. I'd already bought my cards; Elayna needs to buy cards for her grandma and great-grandma, and then the packages will be ready to mail.

Elayna begged off doing karate on Friday, so she wrote me a note saying "Dear Mommy, I promise to go to karate 4 times next week. Love, Elayna". Today, she scratched out the "4" and wrote "5". She's going for the yellow belt, man. She's gung ho.

So yes. Karate today, doctor's appointment at 4 and karate at 5:30 tomorrow, end-of-school-year party on Wednesday (followed by Mike & yendi taking off to see "Jason X"), and karate on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I need to get details on Girl Scout Day at Zoo Atlanta, see if I can still get her into that. That's Saturday. And we're seeing "Spider-Man" on Friday, provided we can get a babysitter - kellinator , Adam was supposed to tell you that if you wanted to see Spidey with us, we can try to get another babysitter! We just need to know. And if we can't and you *can* babysit, I'll see it again with you on Sunday. :)

Hey, I'm sure Max has passed the pics by now. Digital pics go through the system quickly. ;-) They're on the camera at home -- you can see them tonight.
