The Shadesong Effect

So. snowelf used a term in her LJ recently that caught my fancy: "the Shadesong Effect". She was referring to the fact that she's more inclined to add someone as an LJ friend if they're on my friends-list than if they're not.

In a different way, the Shadesong Effect can be used to describe the small-world coincidences such as martinhesselius and sambear rediscovering each other through my journal.

However, I think the phrase can mean different things to different people. Lots of different things. So, in the interest of entertaining me at work, I present you with this poll.

i think I dubbed it/you the Nexus of all LJ friends at one point, shortly after I added you to mine. thru you i got, mousegrrl, yendi, wolfieboy, snowelf, brawnynelf, phantom_wolfboy, etc. etc. etc. but I like the Shadesong Effect better, more poetic, less Man-Thing.
