I have shin splints. The pain started yesterday. I didn't know what it was, but Adam told me, so I looked it up this morning. Y'know what you do for shin splints? "Rest your legs by avoiding moderate- or high-impact activity for two to three weeks after onset of pain."

Two to three weeks?!? No evening walks? Do I have to take the shuttle to work instead of walking? The site says you can get a stress fracture if you don't let yourself heal. I don't want a stress fracture, man, but I can't *not walk*.

I think I have shin splints too. It's been bothering me a little during my céilí dancing lessons. But like an eejit, I just keep going. Worst was a couple weeks ago when I got hit in the leg with a car during my lunch break, (don't worry, it wasn't very hard, and it only hurt a little,) and then had a céilí lesson that evening.

I'd consider walking pretty low-impact. Just don't play basketball or go céilí dancing.

You got hit by a car, and then you went dancing? That's dedication....

Yeah, I hope the walking is okay. I walk 15 minutes each way, to/from work. And I walk to lunch. And I generally walk for an hour in the evenings....
